Matt Klaus
Matt Klaus is considered one of the best athletes to ever attend Haddon Township High School earning 11 Varsity letters in football, werestling and track. On the football field, Matt was a dominating player who capped his highly honored career by being named to the All-State team in his Senior season. As a wrestler, Matt compiled a 74-12 record and was twice District Heavyweight champion. In his Senior year, he won the Region 7 championship. In the spring he turned his attention to shot put and discus circles and dominated his competition, winning State Group II titles, twice in the shot and once in the discus. He still holds the school records for both the shot (58'2") and the discus (168'4".) Following his graduation in 1995, Matt continued his athletic excellence at Syracuse University where he won three Varsity letters in football as a member of three Big East Conference champions as well as contributing to the track squad in the shot. Matt graduated from Syracuse with a Bachelor's degree in marketing management and currently works with an engineering firm in South Jersey.
