1972-73 Cross Country Team
The 1972-73 Cross Country team is honored as the first team to be inducted into the HTHS Athletic Hall of Fame. They have been described by their Coach Al Tanner as the greatest of a long line of outstanding HTHS Cross Country teams and possibly the best team in South Jersey history. They annihilated their competition, running to victory in 29 dual meets and winning 9 different titles including Colonial Conference, South Jersey and State Group II and the prestigious Eastern Interscholastic championships. They capped their outstanding season by being named the number one team in New Jersey.
