1980 Football Team The 1980 Football team brought new heights of success to Haddon Township, posting a best ever 9-2 record and sharing the first Colonial Conference football title in school history. The team proceeded to advance to the South Jersey Group II finals by ending Delsea’s 14 game winning streak before losing 12-7 to Northern Burlington on the final play of the game. The team was led by six players who received All Conference Honors: John Walter, Mike Ragone, Mike Ressa, Steve Martin, Jin Lee and Steve Brady. Hard running halfback Ragone and lineman Walter were also named to the All South Jersey team, while Walter received the additional honor of being named to the All-State team. The team was coached by Tom Curley, Bob Preziosi, Russ Miller and John Childs.
