Frank Cunane Haddon Township athletic history began in the mid 1960’s. One of the first to garner acclaim for the fledgling Hawks was Frank Cunane, Class of 1966. A multi sport athlete, Frank was a member of the football, basketball and baseball squads and earned a reputation as a hard-nosed player who loved to play whatever sport was in season. As a football player, Frank delivered far more punishment to opponents than he ever received and was one of the first Most Valuable Players in Hawk history. On the hardwood, Frank was a determined forward for Coach Bill Vandegrift and each spring he starred on the baseball diamond. Following his outstanding career, he served in the US Army in Vietnam, earning the Army Accommodation, 2 bronze stars, one with the oak leaf cluster, and a Vietnam Service medal. Frank is married, living in Gloucester (while still supporting Haddon Township athletics) and is the proud father of three grown children.
