Bart Payne
Every athletic program has members of the community who support the programs. But few programs have supporters the likes of Thomas (Bart) Payne. Haddon Township’s answer to Steven Spielberg, Bart has videotaped gymnastics, wrestling and track and field events for the past ten years. Following each season, he compiled individual tapes for each Hawk competitor. Besides the tapes, he created scrapbooks for each wrestler consisting of statistics, photographs and newspaper articles. He has made significant contributions to both Hawk sports as well as to the Haddon Township Varsity club with cash donations as well as the donation of a complete gymnastics floor. He is a tireless worker who always has time to add one more task to his busy schedule of volunteer activities. He also financially supports many diverse groups, a sampling of which are WHYY TV 12, the Westmont Lions Club, the New Jersey State Aquarium and the Franklin Institute. Bart is still a resident of Haddon Township and is the proud father of two sons, Britt and Clay.
