Christina LiVecchi Much like when Coach John McCarthy first saw Kevin Kelly, in 1994 Coach Tom Mulligan was delighted to see 6’1 freshman Christina LiVecchi try out for the Hawk girl’s basketball team. An immediate starter on the Varsity squad, Christina conquered the 1000 point barrier in her junior year and finished her career with over 1500 points. She earned all-conference honors in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons and was named to the All South Jersey squad, both as a junior and as a senior. Capping the honors was her selection as a member of the second team all state squad in 1998. Although her most notable success was in basketball, she was not a one sport specialist. Christina earned three letters in soccer (twice being named honorable mention all conference) and four in track and field where she threw the javelin (conference champion as a senior) and also competed on the track for a variety of medley teams. Following graduation she enrolled at Lafayette College where she earned four varsity letters in basketball and was thrice named to the Patriot League All Academic team. She now lives in Boston, MA and works as a medical device sales representative. |
