Faith Kousoulis Hagerty
Many outstanding athletes focus their efforts on excellence in a single sport. Such is not the case with Faith Kousoulis Hagerty. Starting her athletic career as a softball player in HTAA, Faith found that her skills were valuable in many sports. In addition to starring for the Hawk Varsity softball teams for three seasons, Faith lettered in basketball for three seasons and was named co-captain her senior year. But it was in field hockey that she excelled the most. A co-captain in this sport also, she garnered numerous awards for her play as a midfielder including 2nd team All Conference and All South Jersey group 2 in addition to being the team MVP. The University of Pennsylvania recognized her talents and following graduation from HTHS, she attended the Ivy League School. There she was fortunate to be a member of teams that won League Championships in 1986 and 1988 and advanced to the NCAA Final Four in the latter year. Proving that she still possessed athletic versatility, she played on the U of P lacrosse team. Clearly a woman for whom inactivity is impossible, following graduation she remained active in both field hockey and she tackled even more athletic endeavors, long distance running and kayaking. She now lives in Millersville, MD with her husband and children where she operates her own physical therapy practice.
