Tim Gallagher The scholars who monitor the individual inductees into the Haddon Township Athletic Hall of Fame will note that an inordinate number are track/cross country athletes. Tim Gallagher is another example a dedicated athlete who was fortunate to be a part of this proud tradition. A product of Coaches Tom Priory and Jim Elwell, Tim received nine varsity letters in cross country, winter track and spring track and was named the HTHS outstanding senior athlete in 1984. He was named to the All Conference teams in both cross country and spring track and counts among his achievements the 1983 Group II South Jersey individual cross country championship and an extremely close 2nd place finish (by .9 seconds) in the South Jersey outdoor track 3200. He continued his outstanding career at Trenton State College (now known as the College of New Jersey) where he again garnered numerous all-conference awards and set records in both the 3000m steeplechase and the 5000 meter races. Post college, he added bicycling and swimming to his repertoire and became one of the top ranked competitors on the east coast in both biathlons and triathlons. With additional degrees from Seton Hall and Northwestern Universities, he has had a successful career in law enforcement and has a noteworthy hobby of playing the bagpipes.
