Brad Strauss

Many young boys dream of earning a living playing professional sports. Brad Strauss is one of the few HTHS alumni who can claim that he has done so. A five letter winner (three in baseball and two in basketball), Brad parlayed his outstanding ability to hit a baseball into a professional career that stretched into two decades. Following his high school career where he batted .412 in his senior year, (gaining all conference recognition), he attended Catawba College where he was a four year letter winner, received all conference, all group and Honorable mention All American recognition and set the school record for runs batted in (RBI’s) in a season. He is ranked in the top ten in school history for home runs, on base percentage and slugging percentage. Post graduation, he played professionally in Taiwan and in the United States, most recently as a member of the Camden Riversharks where he again set records and was named twice as an all star. Recently he retired from baseball and now works for the Honeywell Corporation. He makes his home in Cherry Hill where he lives with his wife Amy and daughter Jordan.
